DJ Vic Latino
In a few short years radio superstar VIC LATINO has achieved what very
few other radio personalities ever accomplish, first he reached #1
status in the toughest and most lucrative market in radio (New
York), he also appears regularly on network TV (ABC,NBC,FOX)and landed
a appearance on the very popular ELLEN SHOW. In 2007 VIC LATINO has no
plans of slowing down, his 7th CD hits stores January 16, he debuts a
new radio show on XM Radio, he's the celebrity DJ for the Armani
Exchange chain of stores, he's the celebrity spokesperson for the LATINO
Royalty clothing line and recently partnered with the acclaimed MATTEO's
restaurant in New York.
Ever since leaving his # 1 rated show on Party 95.3 in Orlando to join
at the time the # 1 Dance music station in the country (103.5 WKTU) in
2001 , Vic’s reputation as a radio powerhouse has grown rapidly.
During his very successful 5 year stint on KTU ,his daily prime time
radio show reached # 1 status in the toughest market to win in New
York (Men between 25 – 54 years of age).
Beginning in January 2007 Vic Latino joins the XM Radio Family which
includes Oprah, Bob Costas, Troy Aikeman and many more. Vic will
bring the same energy and infectious personality that caught
the attention of the ELLEN show to his new national show XM radio
which will feature some of the hottest music new music heard in the
biggest clubs across the country.
Along with his very successful career in radio, Vic has also become a
very successful club DJ / Producer. Known within the music industry as
the man with the golden ear to pick a hit, ( a distinction NY Newsday
also gave him when he graced the cover of their Impulse@Night
entertainment section ), Record executives kept approaching Vic about
releasing a series of CD’s with a collection of the hottest songs he
predicted to be future club hits. To date he has released 6 very
successful Dance/Electronica CD’s, all of which have either been #1 or
in the Top 5 on the BILLBOARD Dance/Electronica Charts. His latest VIC
LATINO Presents “THRIVE MIX 3” ( in stores January 16) is his
biggest collection to date offering the nation exclusive mixes & songs
from some of the biggest names in music including
Madonna???????????????????
Vic’s popularity and good looks recently landed him on the Emmy Award
winning ELLEN show where he deejayed for the entire show and did the
opening monologue with Ellen Degeneres. He also appeared twice on one of
A & E's highest rated shows, “Growing Up GOTTI”, where Vic played
matchmaker for the Gotti Boys giving them dating advice. Vic is all
ready to make the smooth transition from radio to TV like his
predecessors Carson Daily & Ryan Seacreast, who both hosted very popular
local radio shows before getting TV shows. Vic has already become a
regular fixture on all the networks having appeared on various morning
and news shows on ABC, NBC & FOX doing everything from hosting, to
commentary on breaking entertainment stories, concert events, the
hottest CD’s & the National Puerto Rican Parade.
Ever since the ELLEN show episode aired offers for Vic to host or star
in a show of his own have been knocking at his door. They obviously see
the marketability & cross over appeal Vic & his cool boy next-door looks
and personality have to offer. Vic, says, “I would welcome the
opportunity to host a reality show or to do an edgier version of the
Rosie O’Donnell show that would appeal to the very young and the older
but young at heart audience”. He admits to proceeding with caution
when it comes to his next step towards TV stardom. After completing a
pilot and filming several episodes for an updated version of the classic
TV show “Dance Hits USA”, the production company financing the
project went bankrupt, shelving the much anticipated project. This time
he says, “I want to do my first show with a network or well
established & successful production company that will support me and my
input and show ideas”.
We can rest assured that we will see Vic Latino & his baby blues on
television screens across the country in the very near future as his
star continues to rise. Until then we have to all stay
tuned!
